Crepes Da La Creme

Crepes Da La Creme

Food & Catering Seaford, East Sussex

Husband and wife team Bradley and Rosie Pryer founded Crepe de la crème in January 2019. They both found a little shop in Seaford and an opportunity to bring a new food experience to the small town - without ever making a crepe before! They practiced for many hours, holding crepe tasting nights for friend and family, practice makes perfect as they say! These nights were the nights when their imagination ran wild with them and they dreamed up some of our favorite combinations (nutella and biscoff anyone?) Since then, the company has grown beyond Bradley and Roses beliefs, extending their beach hut down the prom, attending exciting events around East Sussex and further, to now - opening up their very own pudding parlor in the center of Seaford town.

Chiddingly Bonfire Society

Chiddingly Bonfire Society

Cultural Heritage Chiddingly, East Sussex

In common with many of the Sussex Bonfire societies, Chiddingly has a long history of participation in our county's unique proceedings. First reports of there being any sort of formal organisation in the village date back to 1829! - highlighting the Parish of Chiddingly's near two century's traditional bonfire heritage. The beginnings of the bonfire celebrations derive from the failed attempt of Guido (Guy) Fawkes and other members behind the Gunpowder Plot to assassinate King James I and parliament on the 5th November 1605. Subsequently, each 5th November was designated by the King under an Act of Parliament as a national day of thanksgiving for "the joyful day of deliverance" and was ordered to be celebrated with bellringing and bonfires.
