Traditional Archery

In our Traditional Archery trials, thou shalt take up the bow in its pure and ancient form — free of modern contrivance — relying upon keen eye, steady breath, and steadfast hand. Under the careful guidance of our learned masters, thou shalt be schooled in this noble craft, from first draw to true strike upon the mark. With bows suited to squires young and archers seasoned alike, all may step to the line and taste the honour of this time-hallowed art.
Axe Throwing
Summon forth the spirit of the northern raider and test thy strength in the warrior’s art of axe casting. Feel the weight of the steel in thy grasp, take thy aim, and cast with purpose — seeking the most satisfying thud as blade meets timber true. Under the watchful eye of our skilled instructors, thou shalt learn the stance, the swing, and the craft required to strike the mark with honour. With all safeguards set in place and proper equipment provided, thou mayest embrace the thrill of this ancient trial in both courage and confidence.
Crossbow Experience
Step into the age of mighty sieges and fortified keeps, and take in hand a weapon whose lineage stretches back to ancient times, even unto the centuries before Christ. The crossbow, once borne upon castle walls and battlefields afar, is a marvel of power and cunning design. In this noble trial, thou shalt learn the art of spanning, sighting, and loosing the bolt with care and precision. Guided by our skilled instructors and safeguarded by proper measures throughout, thou mayest experience the thrill of this historic engine of war in a manner both stirring and secure — tasting the strength of ages past beneath thy very grasp.
Joust Training Ground
Step boldly into the lists and strive to become a true medieval jouster! Within our Joust Training Ground, squires of all ages may test their courage and skill through lively, hands-on trials held at historic sites and grand festivals. Mount thy trusty hobby steed, lower thy lance of padded make, and charge forth as knights did in days of pageantry and honour. All is conducted beneath the careful watch of seasoned historical reenactors, who guide each rider in the customs, bearing, and noble spirit of the tournament field. Here, amidst cheers and clashing lances, thou mayest taste the glory of chivalry in both merriment and safety.
Knights Training Ground
Enter the yard of arms and begin thy path toward knighthood! Within our Knight’s Training Ground, bold squires and aspiring champions shall learn the noble art of swordplay, practising the strikes, guards, and bearing of true warriors of old. Take thy courage in hand and run the Knight’s Gauntlet — a trial of skill, swiftness, and steadfast heart. Guided by our costumed masters of the craft, history lives and breathes around thee in this stirring, family-friendly adventure — where honour is earned, courage is tested, and every soul may strive toward the title of knight.
